Sandy Koepke

Sunlight. Space. Sophisticated comfort. These are the elements I incorporate into every home and garden design. Yet each project is as individual as the client—compatible with the specific site and architecture, and reflecting their own style and needs.

I earned my BFA from the University of Nebraska and my MFA from Arizona State University. But I developed my design style here in Southern California. It’s fun and relaxed, combining the best ingredients in imaginative ways. Creating seamless transitions from indoors to out. And making it all feel natural, timeless and effortless.

I love the design process: the attention to detail, partnership with my clients and collaboration with architects, contractors and artisans. Most of all, I love turning ordinary spaces into beautiful places that welcome you home.

COASTROAD Hearth & Patio @pbsch, we have similar issues in CAMA restricted areas and flood zones, where nothing permanent is allowed. While it may be a stretch to say these are "portable", they can be moved, and can be hooked up with a quick-disconnect gas fitting, so our local authorities no longer have jurisdiction over them. Your local authority may not be as open-minded . . .

Sandy Koepke the old lavabo and French spigots were purchased separately. you might try local flea markets or dealers where you live.... or look for vintage garden ornaments online, on eBay, etc.

joehamilton But, if most of your outdoor kitchen sides are open, a good outdoor ceiling fan is virtually as effective and costs far less. I know. Our kitchen is open on 3 sides and is fully covered with a solid ceiling and, yet, with our ceiling fans we're never bothered with smoke. Just FYI.
