Tim is a true professional and his skills as a home builder are second to none. Our decision to enter a contract with Tim was based on references and also his existing clients home tours. Existing clients, that had occupied their new homes for several years, allowed our family to tour the homes without limitations. First hand experiences with our own eyes and being able to physically see the finished product sealed the deal for us. The consistent and positive comments, from existing owners, made us feel comfortable with the commitment. Our family will also offer this experience for Tim's future clients. Tim Whelan helped us by serving as a general contractor on an extensive remodel of our home in Cornelius. Being new to the community, we would have been lost without Tim's help. He knows all the key contractors/vendors and was able to successfully source products and schedule services even in this period of major delays due to Covid. Tim is competent, professional, listened to our wants/needs and was willing to offer suggestions as needed. And even 11 years later if we have a question, Tim's still incredibly responsive. No home is perfect and certainly no home stays in great shape without work but we've tried to match Tim's passion and be equally diligent in our care for this investment and it's paid off. Tim is fantastic! He remodeled our kitchen, a large bathroom, repainted inside and replaced most of our lighting. He did a great job and all of his vendors were honest and reliable people. Tim came in on time and under budget and he was a pleasure to work with!

T. Whelan Homes remodeled our back deck last spring (2017), and turned a normal, 20 yr old wooden deck into a beautiful, usable porch. Tim listened to our wants and needs, and gave us excellent ideas and opinions on what to do with this space. We were very pleased with all of the subs that worked on the project, and Tim's attention to detail made sure that each portion of the job was done to both of our satisfaction. We did have a strict deadline, which was met with no problem and a little to spare. This project turned out even better than we imagined, as it has transformed a deck that we barely used into a year-round area for relaxation and entertaining, opening up our main living space to the beautiful outdoors. Tim and his crew did a great job with various projects we needed done before we listed our home for sale. A partial master bath remodel, freshening up other rooms of the house as well. He was always on top of the project and the workmanship was great. Would absolutely use him in the future and have no problem recommending his services.

T Whelan Homes is by far the best company that I have ever dealt with. Tim and his crew were very professional, efficient, and listened to what our needs were for our son. He went above and beyond the call of duty. You see, my son Dalton was paralyzed in 2016 from his battle with cancer. We were looking for someone to renovate a bathroom in our home to accommodate him. Who would ever think they’d need an ADA bathroom for your own child? On Thanksgiving Day in 2016, Tim knocked on our door and asked....how can I help? He and his crew worked so hard and everything was perfect. It allowed our son Dalton, some privacy and dignity during the next year when having to shower or use the bathroom. Words can never express how grateful and thankful we are that Tim knocked on our door that day. He has a servants heart and a wealth of knowledge.

We met Tim Whelan in 2008, during a very diificult time in the economy, both nationally and locally. We were looking for a builder to build our first custom home. It was a scary time to build because you didn't know what contractors were trying to build your house in order to pay for their last. Our neighborhood sales people referred us to several preferred builders, including T Whelan Homes. Tim did not come across as a slick salesman, but rather a very honest, down-to-earth person, that we felt we could trust from the moment we met him. His price was not the lowest we received, but was not the highest either. One of the main reasons we chose him was because of the level of detail he put in to pricing our house. We felt like we could build our dream house for the price he quoted, without the surprise of expensive change orders down the road. Tim followed through on every expectation we had in building our first custom home. He finished on time and on budget. Most importantly, the process was enjoyable! His subcontractors are very aware of Tim's high expectations with regard to quality and cleanliness of the job site. All of his subcontractors were fantastic. Unfortunately we had to sell our dream home 5 years after we finished it to move closer to our children's school. We moved into an old "fixer upper" and asked Tim to renovate our house. There was no question who we wanted to do the work because we trusted that it would be done by quality craftsmen and would be finished on time and on budget. With more renovations left to be done on our house, Tim is my first call anytime anything goes wrong. He still calls be back quickly and always helps me get any issues we're having fixed. Tim has become so much more than just our contractor, he is our friend. I don't know many people that have gone through a custom home build and a major kitchen renovation, and are still friends with their contractor. The quality of his work is unsurpassable. He truly uses top notch subcontractors and makes the stresses of building and renovation manageable. When choosing a contractor, Tim is someone you can trust, someone you can count on to stand by his work years after the work is done, and someone I highly recommend.
