Rain Chain into rain catchment pebble fountain
Is this special chain or something from the hardware store? Cheers, Jan Cannon
Hi Jan! The chain is an off-the-shelf item from Rainchains.com. Here's a link: http://rainchains.com/dbl_loops.html. The metal surround was custom, (Garden Iron in CT) as was the under-drain system. This photo doesn't show it well but above this lower, overflow drain and downspout alternative is a pebble

Rain chain, stone square at ground
Chunky chain like this- hang lengths every 6-8" and have water run down.
Although a metal chain hanging from the roof has potential to look rather industrial, this exterior seems to embrace the rugged feel quite well with the help of the various metals used in throughout the architecture.

Using rain chains to frame the entry is very pleasing to the eye.
A pair of rain chains is a nice addition to the front of this home and will surely catch the eye of anyone who visits.
They also can become beautiful accents on a home. These copper rain chains hanging form the entry pediment provide ornament, a glint of copper, and add a new shape to this very geometric

What is the size and type of chain used?
Most rain chains are copper and a single chain. This is a better color for me and the multiple chains are a great look. What specifically are they? Thanks for your help.
Where can I get this rain barrel? Or a web site? Thank you.
All, this is not exactly a rain barrel but a filter. Through the chains water is sent to this filter which has layers of sand, gravel , a mesh and charcoal. Two pipes are hidden within, which take the filtered water to an underground tank . Rainwater is stored in this underground tank and used for all

This is a great way to conclude the rain chain. I guess there is a basin under the rocks?
le water usage is key to the green lifestyle — not only cutting back on what flows from the faucet but also collecting what falls from the sky. Rain chains, such as the one shown here, and barrels divert and store runoff for use within the home (you can find them at major home improvement retailers)
