Rain Chain into rain catchment pebble fountain
Rain Chain into rain catchment pebble fountain
special chain or something from the hardware store? Cheers, Jan Cannon
Jan! The chain is an off-the-shelf item from Rainchains.com. Here's a link: http://rainchains.com/dbl_loops.html. The metal surround was custom, (Garden Iron in CT) as was the under-drain system. This photo doesn't show it well but above this lower, overflow drain and downspout alternative is a pebble fountain

Hang a rain chain. Another way to make the most of all that roof runoff involves replacing the downspout with a rain chain; a series of links or cups that channels rainwater attractively as it plummets to the ground. Rain chains bring a touch of artistic whimsy to a garden, to be sure, but they’re all

metal chain hanging from the roof has potential to look rather industrial, this exterior seems to embrace the rugged feel quite well with the help of the various metals used in throughout the architecture.

what exactly is a rain chain? I live in Australia, and this idea is not anything common here. Is it decorative, or functional? I am interested to know. thanks
get the rain chain ? What's this style called
even a rain chain similar to this one hanging to the left of the door! I think the cranberry color is too dark for the house and I really want the door to "pop". So, we have picked out a poppy red color: Fairmont Suite Clay Red by Valspar at Lowe's. Do you think this color would look nice?

rainwater harvesting
Most rain chains are copper and a single chain. This is a better color for me and the multiple chains are a great look. What specifically are they? Thanks for your help.
Where can I get this rain barrel? Or a web site? Thank you.
exactly a rain barrel but a filter. Through the chains water is sent to this filter which has layers of sand, gravel , a mesh and charcoal. Two pipes are hidden within, which take the filtered water to an underground tank . Rainwater is stored in this underground tank and used for all purposes including
chains used as downspout for gutter water

closely spaced galvinized chains are a nice change. Also the barrel blends seamlessly with the house design.
