I prefer a backsplash that is less busy, but think yours will look great when the whole thing is put together. Lighter appliances, perhaps stainless, will decrease the dark look of the tiles. I'm counting on your loving it when it's all done. Enjoy and don't stress!

It looks great. Undercabinet lighting would've a huge help. Keep pushing forward as is.

HI -- After it is already installed is not the time to ask people weather it looks good or not . If we all said we hated it , then what would you do ? So my honest opinion is .... it's fine , not what I would have done but now that it is there , it will look good if you do what has already been mentioned by the others . If you add the under cabinet lighting and have the accents in light tones like the counters , then it will look good and like you planned it this way . Your just second guessing your decisions before it's finished . Finish and enjoy what you have accomplished !

I went for a light color grout

The tile backsplash is already quite busy. I would choose a grout color that blends in as much as possible. A very light grout will make each individual tile stand out, further accentuating the busy appearance of the design.

It's hard because it's already done. I think if I were you I'd pull some of the grey color in your tile out by accenting with light grey accessories. It's too bad the cabinets are new, otherwise I'd suggest a grey washed finish. Maybe you can paint the interior of the cabinets a light grey to tie everything together? Whatever you do I'm sure it's going to turn out much nicer than what it was before. Good luck.
