I was told that marble countertops can stain.

Is that true of this marble? I guess I read somewhere that you sealed it? Does that prevent staining. also marble is soft correct? Does it need to be sealed on a regular basis. thank you so much.

just beautiful!!

What a beautiful kitchen! That stone is fantastic. Yes, this stone will stain but marble is more prone to acid etching. Food acids from lemons, coffee, etc. will chemically attack the stone and leave blotch marks, circles from glasses, etc. Consider Clearstone. It is the only stone coating which will prevent acid etching. It comes with a 10 year warranty.

A dumb question - how intensive is the sealing process and we have to hire contractor to do the sealing ?

For small projects, say 50 square feet, we can complete the preparation of the stone and sealing in two days. If the counter has complex edging then sometimes the project will stretch into the third day.
