I have a 2 door with freezer on bottom. I think a one door might have actually have more storage space on the inside of the door.

As I understand it, you have to open both of the French doors to get the drawers open so, just get one door.

I have French doors on my current refrigerator. I've gotten used to it but I'm really considering one door. The one door does seem larger and you're right, you have to hold open both doors to get to the drawer.

I had a side by side and just replaced it with French door. Love the way it looks but not sure I like it better than what I had. It may be that I'm just not used to it. There is definitely less storage in the door and you do have to open both doors to get to one of the fridge drawers. The freezer section is harder for me to organize/use too. Hopefully I'll grow to like it better! Good luck! Oh, I do LOVE that it has square ice cubes instead of half moon shaped!!

HI -- When we were looking for a new fridge we looked at the French 2 door , but it didn't have as much room as the one door w / bottom freezer door and two drawers inside . It's a Samsung and it has the no mark Platinum finish. We love it !

I personally find a lot less room in the french door fridge. I have one in our new house, but would much prefer a single door fridge or a side by side.

I have a french door and wish I could change the doors to one big one. As others have said you nearly always have to open both doors. I have a wall on one side and that door barely opens. I didn't think it out in advance. No problem with the amount of room. Really for me it looks better than it is functional. Only had it a year so not ready to pack it in yet.
