Hi everyone,

I am in the last stages of kitchen remodel, looking for some finishing touches on the countertops.

The wall between kitchen and living room is half open. The cabinet on the kitchen side will provide great space for countertop next to the stove. I am considering adding an 12inch rounded overhang all around that cabinet, into the living room. I put some cardboard on the cabinet to serve as a visual. The idea is to use the space as an area for quick meal. My only concern is that it will be too prominent for the living room. The grey electrical panel that you see in the picture will be covered by a tv. So you see, the overhang will really be part of the room.

The countertops will be white, hanstone Bianco canvas.

Any advice will be appreciated! The measurement crew is waiting for me to make the final decision.
