What about an outdoor room? All you need to start such a space would be a pergola overhead for shade, comfortable chairs, a few interesting pots of brightly colored flowers.

We have 2 covered porches so I was thinking of putting 2 chaise lounge chairs and a little table there rather than a pergola but it's just sort of in an awkward space relative to our house and the neighbors house. Also the bricks are in a slight semi circle shape....here are pics from the porch
And you can see the neighbors house right there. Ignore the circle that's hay covering new grass seed to fix dead grass under a pool.

As it is, it looks a bit random. I'd plan a small garden along one side to make it look more planned.

l agree with the outdoor living area, and would put out a small bistro table and a few chairs and a bunch of pots with flowers.

Looks like a good place for a fire pit.
