I think your table and chairs will look great with darker cabinets. BUT, your cabinets look nice and new so why not consider having them painted? The sky is the limit then. If you want to pull in the black a little more you could paint the cabinets a nice gray, put in black counters and paint your back door black. Then add some touches of red to pull in your red appliances. A nice modern pattern with a touch of red in it for your fabrics - curtains, a runner for the table and a nice rug in front of the sink or back door with a red stripe or etc could pull the whole thing together.

Too much black is dark. I do like light countertops.What about the island only paint black & door?

If it were me I would do island & door. Do those black. Cabinets white or gray. Counters light.
