Help with art placement

Just hung this art piece...how does it look? I centered it across from the middle window on the opposite side, but should I instead center it on the wall itself?

It looks fine, but I suggest a narrow console table under it with a lamp.

Thanks JudyG! Yes, we are still purchasing items for the room. I would like more seating actually, so will probably get 2 chairs at some point. It looks a little bare right now. Any other suggestions welcomed.

ok, how much higher? I used the guidelines of eye level, so the center of the art is at about 57" from the floor. Thanks!

I am looking at your cabinets. If you were to hang that picture over one, you would hang it higher…yes? So, guessing the cabinet is 32” then add another 6” for the bottom of the picture?

The top of the cabinet is 34" from the floor. So, the bottom of the art should be 40" off the floor?

Until you get the other pieces going along that wall, suggest holding off moving this and making holes. Height and more centered will be dependant. I know..because my wall is full of holes!

Beautiful room! Love the picture, but he needs friends ;-). Tape together newspaper or butcher paper and make a template of it. Much easier to play with where it goes on the wall. Dittos to console table with ottomans underneath!

The picture is centered nicely. If you gave it a black frame it would connect with the other black elements in the room and give it more presence.
