interior designer - most important?

Is it more important for an interior designer to have your ideal aesthetic/taste or is years of experience very essential to the project? We are considering one that is only a couple years into their career, which makes me nervous, but I love their taste (although purely based on their pinterest board). Another choice is more contemporary taste than I would like, but has more experience. Help!

I would go with the person who you are most comfortable with.......of course you want to be aware of the budget too....

The costs would be very similar.

A good designer should be able to reach beyond their personal taste and meet that of their client. Of course there might be a particular style in which they may feel is there wheelhouse, but if they only work or succeed within those confines, and you don't share them....

I tend to believe in experience. That said, I've also seen awesome work by young designers. In the end, you're going to be spending a lot of time with either and investing a lot of trust.
