you need decor! pictures, towel hangers, towel hanger, window treatment.....it looks bland b/c right now it is!

Your bathroom is beautiful. You're right -- you just need a bit more personal style and color to transform the space. What about a print on the wall between the shower and the window. It would become a focal point, lifting the eye to the wall rather than to the toilet, and could be viewed from most any angle in the room (i.e. from the shower and as a reflection in the mirror). An audubon print would bring a fresh crisp and natural look to the space - but of course, it's your style that counts, not mine! ;)

It's a great bathroom. Love the tiles. Agree with some simple decor, plain Roman shade. Maybe add a rod with brightly colored towels next to the tub, perhaps orange or turquoise. A little color will go a long way.

what is your style. I tried looking at your idea book, but every bathroom you have is very similar to the one you own, no pictures or style to them at all....what does the rest of your home feel like?

you will see the color on the wall. . . then add a large piece of modern art with your home's accent color (turquoise would be great, red would be great, tangerine or apple green - any of these would work) Look for a fabric with taupe, white and one of these brights in something like a large scale ikat - do a little roman hung above the window

Here is what I would do : I would paint the walls in a greige color ( accesible beige being my first option or something similar to it), then I would add bamboo shades in a light color for windows and add a group of 3 tiny frames, wall art, small size canvas( or a group of more if their are really small) with your favorite accent color ( my first options would probably be coral, turquoise though I could also see mustard yellow, apple green, light blue) vertically, on the wall between bathtub and window - is the window placed in the middle of the wall ?

Or you could add tiny floating shelves to display some decorative object

I would suggest you paint the walls a very soft, pale aqua. If the floors are wood, I would suggest you lighten the floors several shades to an almost natural tone to get away from the dark brown tones.

ok i tried the darker one, but it almost look the same when i applied it. the lighter color sample is much more fresh!

Do you have pictures from other angles? Switching out the lighting or the mirror or painting the cabinets could have a big impact but it depends on what is there now.

or you could go for the greige paint on the walls, bamboo shades for window treatments and some long narrow white/off white wall sculpture ( or you could jut built it yourself) or laser cut wood art, white/off white towels and bath rug for a spa like bathroom.

Upon looking at the photo again, I would suggest a natural wood color for the bamboo shades, the same natural shade I suggested for the wood floor.

The hardwood floor and bath tiles are actually fabulous so keeping them is a major plus! I would probably swap out the sink faucet for something a little more high end. This faucet could look great but you may need one that adapts seamlessly with your current sink. Mostly I'd recommend making the wall with the sink interesting with some texture, like this which may mean you'll need to swap out your current sink for a built in. This will help with storage as well. Then pop in a few recessed lights, one circuit over the shower and another over the sink and toilet area. http://www.affordablequalitylighting.com/recessed-housings-trims/ I'd use a gimbal trim over the sink for directional lighting. That way female guests will have an easy time with make up application.

I'd add some vanity lighting above your mirror and possibly some corresponding sconces in the other unlit areas of the room. I love the tile and the floor as is. A cool blue/grey on the walls. 3 cubes that are floating shelves on the wall in between the toilet and shower. Towels & rug to add a softer texture. Not exactly loving the wood mirror next to the white cabinet. If the cabinet is paintable, I would do that to tie it in with whatever wall color you go with. You've got a good start, I should look very "designer" when you're done. Please show!
