I just repaired ( professionally done) old plaster walls in 1880 Louisville house. We are trying to bring this house back to glory but hate wallpaper! Have had different suggestions of finish of paint-- eggshell vs flat etc. Walls are beautiful with of course some variation because of age. What do you think? Thank very much in advance.

I would use a matte finish to hide as many imperfections as possible.
