The classic color would be white. Unfortunately the roof color was a poor choice :(

I might consider an off white for the body, keeping a pure white for trim and black for accents.

Leave the brick, once you paint it has to be painted again and again. Plus the brick is beautiful. The attached picture is one idea and I'm sure you'll receive many. Grey cedar shakes and bluish/black shutters and doors and roof should just blend in with brick. If you paint, it will stand out more. Enjoy your new home, it's lovely.

Forgot -- Don't paint the brick.

It would be criminal to paint the brick. Replace the roof instead.

How about a warm gray with brown undertones? Like Benjamin Moores Valley Forge Tan? Would that be nice?

One I think your brick is very attractive. Secondly, once you paint brick you have introduced an ongoing maintenance issue. Brick needs to breath and once you paint it, it can't. The moisture gets trapped inside the brick and during freezing temperatures it expands and has to get out of the brick which it does by "spalling" which is when the face of the brick pops off because of the internal pressures.

HI -- Everyone that said you cannot paint brick is wrong now .Now there is a paint for brick and stucco that lets the brick or stucco breath . It has a plastic type property to it . We spray painted our stucco -which is more difficult than brick to do , and it has been on for over twenty years . It's as good today as it was the day we did it . No maintenance or troubles of any kind and we have harsh seasons . If this was used now it would be fine . If anyone is having trouble with their painted brick - then they used the wrong paint .

I agree with Lefty, we have painted brick homes in our area that have not needed repainting in decades. Saying you have to paint brick every 3 years is absolutely misleading. Especially brick that has never been painted, prepared properly and with the right type of paint will give you many, many years of maintenance free ownership. You could also consider whitewashed brick.
You may still decide not to paint the brick, but don't base that decision on the comments above.

DONT PAINT THE BRICK. Instead consider matching the mortar colour for the trim and then a incredible colour for the front door: Cranberry "ish"
