How do you access plumbing and duct work for the w/d?

I'm working on my laundry room and really like what you have done with this one, but how do you access the plumbing and duct work if need to do that for repairs?

You have to pull out the machines. Everything is accessible from behind.

I designed this same configuration and brought the attachments above the counter recessed in the wall. I have a cabinet covering them. You can see the small access door. That way I can turn off the water source if there is any problems.
