Tiles

Please answer the question about the various tiles used in this bathroom. I love the use of the different tiles and how they were combined. Could you give the names and manufacturer of all the tiles, floors and walls as well as counter tops. It looks like Carrara marble. This is really a beautiful bathroom very unique use of tiles.

Those materials do look correct, but I found that it's very difficult with marble to find the consistency in color that they have in this bathroom. They have very few dark marble pieces. Either they have some special supplier, or they picked through a ton of marble to get this light marble color. Any comment on that?

Often times when dealing with natural stones we will request lot photos from the various suppliers to ensure consistency in colour and veining for our clients. This quality control often comes at a premium and is not the same as purchasing a stocked 3x6 from a local distributor. That being said Carrara marble tends to have consistent colouration in comparison with other more dramatic stones like Calacatta Gold, so is a safer bet when looking for less expensive stocked items. Request samples and lot photos if possible even if it is a stocked material. The samples in the showroom may be from 3 years ago and the lots can change drastically in that time. Also make sure to ask for a couple different samples from various crates of the lot they have in order to ensure you understand the full variation you can expect from their current stock. Hope this helps! The variation in natural stone is what makes it such a beautiful, and dangerous material to work with.

I think the tiles are gorgeous. The different shades of white and grey blend together very well throughout the bathroom. We've been wanting to remodel our master bathroom, and I love this design. This has definitely given me some ideas of what I want. http://www.wunderlinbuilders.com/team

    Hi Skylar Williams,

The link takes you directly to a 404 page. So you may want to change it. Just trying to ultimately help the consumer.

By the time anyone reads this message it will probably not make any sense. A builder posted comments. It looks like a nice website (which does not mean much these days so do your actual physical homework with background checks on the builder "Old School"). But the builder is specific to an area and can probably help people.

It is just the link probably for the social media person who is new to the company, has put in a link for "team" it should have just gone to their Home page like this: http://www.wunderlinbuilders.com of course they may have fixed the link, this is March 9th 2016 and when I clicked their link: http://www.wunderlinbuilders.com/team  (I got the attached image). I think that maybe a social media pet peeve. Check links before posting them :)

The home page is a lot easier. For the record: We have no affiliation with this company just love social media and the benefits for the consumer. This is a great platform for helping people find sources and resources.

    Thank you

    The Builder Depot.
