Hallway lighting sconces?

Because it is a narrow hallway, I think hanging some flush mount or semi flush mount pendants in the hallway would add character and lighting. Here are a couple of inspiring hallways.

Track lighting would be great because you can direct the light onto artwork on the walls. Or, if there is space above, recessed cans would work. Painting the hallway a brighter color will complement the new lighting.

A solar tube would brighten the hallway significantly if it works with your roof . . .

Recessed lighting looks great in a narrow hallway. Also, how about a lighted paint color?
