Need help with stain/paint for new deck

Just replaced old deck and need to figure out colors for floor, rail, etc. should we do all one color in a toner or semi-transparent stain? I am thinking a reddish brown stain/toner on the deck floor and top railing and a solid stain or paint which matches the house color on the lattice and rails. Any opinions? Our house is a beige color with black shutters and white trim. Need deck to flow with wrap around porch which has white railing and lattice.

Any help is appreciated!

You have two heights on that deck--
if you go with different color/stain for the lattice it will be a focal point and I think it will make the deck seem more like one part is an after-thought vs a unified look--
so I would say go with one color for the deck

HI -- Everything that is vertical like the sides and the wood posts and rails do a dark color keeping the deck floors a light stain . Use a solid for the dark and a semi - trans for the deck floors.

Please use a semitransparent stain on your decking and stairs. It may have to be done a little more often, but it won't ever get that dried blood flakiness that opaque stains get. You can also mix two colors of stain together for a custom color. I often use clear and semi transparent together if the wood is especially pretty. I would advise against staining different areas different colors. Trying to keep up with it 3 years from now - kinda of a nightmare.

I get continuing the white railing because you already have it existing. It will be beautiful!
