Funny you put a blue door. That's what I wanted. The beige looks better than I thought it would. I typically dally to grey more than beige. And yeah I am not sure what landscaping there is (if any) as that is a winter photo. We should be in next week so I can get a proper look. I am a pretty decent gardener so will have fun with that. And you are absolutely right about the bay window. There really isn't the room. I will look into 'beefing up' the pillars. Thank you.

How about a periwinkle blue door? And take your hose for guidance and make a curved bed and plant a bunch of hydrangeas and some low evergreens or even box woods.

Yes I will definitely be planting some hydrangeas. I have had a lot of success with them here in MI, and given the winters here, I do like a few evergreens. My last house had a similar porch and there was some tall trees that I wouldn't use because it drowns the porch, I think? I think nothing there over 3ft tall?

Have you considered a new garage door?
Your windows look fine. I think I'd concentrate on landscaping and flowers.

I probably should have said in my original question, that I do have to replace the garage door. It's old and opens flat which I believe is discontinued. I at least have to get a hinged door that rolls up. The landscaping I can do with ease when I get in... (You should see the back... Boy does that need se work!!). My main concern was getting rid of the white paint up top and working with the red brick. Since this post, I have looked up 'beefing up' the pillars and I am not sure that is something I can do myself? I may have to get a contractor for that??

I definitely agree with updating the landscape! This is a quick, easy, and inexpensive way to add color and character to your exterior and really amp up the curb appeal! A few blooming shrubs and some perennials would do the trick! And remember to try and balance your evergreen use. This will extend interest into the winter seasons. Good luck!!
