Any worries about doing brick over the cooktop?

@Janet...I was wondering about the same thing! I'm planning on having this backsplash in my new build but am concerned about grease, etc so considering an alternative behind the cooktop.

Brick gets sealed so shouldn't be a problem. There are porcelain tiles that have a beautiful brick look though.

The customer ordered it on her own. It's the same brick she used on the exterior of her home but in a veneer. Although we did not provide the backsplash for this kitchen, the look can he achieved with any brick veneer. Check the Boral Brick website for options stocked in your area. Be aware that the minimum orders can be large so also check your local tile house.

Use 2 good coats of a penetrating sealer. If you want to bring more color out, use an enhancing sealer. Tesoro makes a beautiful porcelain with a brick look called Chicago.
