I suggest you do not use shutters as they won't fit properly.

A dark red door and garage door, or, where you are saving money if you don't buy shutter, invest in a wood garage door and front door, with a dark warm stain.

You can hire a painter to paint that door to look like wood ,also you can cover the garage door in wood

Lots of great suggestions. The garage doors were replaced 2 years ago by the previous owner - I don't think we are ready to take the plunge on replacing them. A gray or red you think for the doors? Should I do all the doors, or certain doors certain colors?

I would do the door and the garage door the same color....dark something, red, charcoal, etc.

It would look nice if the window frames and sashes were the same colour(no white)

What is the style you are going for - contemporary, transitional, or perhaps even a Modern Craftsman? Since it faces the street and takes up so much of the exterior, your garage door can really set the tone for your home. If you were to consider replacing it, here are some suggestions. The first is a project we did with HGTV's "Curb Appeal" on a 50's split level remodel in MN. They went more of the Craftsman route adding wood elements like shutters, a portico and new Clopay Reserve Collection wood carriage house garage doors. The second option is a contemporary Clopay Avante Collection aluminum and glass garage door. The third is a simple stamped steel grooved panel garage door called the Gallery Collection. It is also available in black if you want to incorporate that color into your exterior. Pink brick is tough. I've seen it look good with burgundy or brick red shutters and doors and tan trim. Have you considered painting the brick? Hope these photos give you some ideas.

I like the strong horizontal lines you have on your house. I think the porch posts need to be beefed up; they are too skinny, Also adding a gutter along the front porch will keep water from falling on anyone approaching, and add a thicker horizontal line there.
The light color on the side of the detached garage is very distracting, definitely paint it when you decide on an exterior color. All the trim around windows and doors, including the garage doors, should stay white - keep it uniform since the windows will stay white. Paint the doors one of the colors suggested here, but keep it in a darker value than the side of the detached garage; a color in the grey or brown color family, depending what goes best with the brick. Front door doesn't have to match the garage door.

I personally wouldn't put the shutters back on the house as they don't really fit the windows.(shutters should at least Look like they can close and cover the entire window) window boxes would look great though! As for colors, I would stay with colors like slate grey, taupe, burgundy, cream, espresso brown etc. if you do it will look very rich and warm.
