Here's that same idea with something more towards turquoise. To me this color gives it kind of a "southwest" feel, which may or may not be of interest to you. I find it competes a bit with the soft blues you have going.

And here's the same thing using the complement of blue (orange), which could really work to bring that blue out more intensely, yet not compete with your taupes nor make it look too southwest-y. Sorry for all the repeats with the same artwork; it was just what I had on hand...

I think you should put one large pieces that is as as wide as the headboard or slightly less, with its height being just short of the ceiling. This may give the illusions of a grand bed and/or high ceilings. A beautiful scarf or tapestry with the same dimensions aforementioned may also work!

I think I would skip the artwork in favor of a large round mirror in silver. . .something like these. . .

I saw the neutral tones with beige/peach accents and thought -- color! I did a screen capture and put in my painting, Child of Eden, because the greens interacted so well with the room. (Not sure about the size ratio -- the framed picture is 30 x 26.)

As a fine artist, I tell my clients -- when you choose artwork for your home, the most important thing to look for is what you like, and what makes you smile -- and it will fit into any color scheme you choose, simply because you love it. When we start over-focusing on matching the color scheme, we risk buying something for the color scheme first, and our liking it second. Both you, and the artwork in your home, deserve better than that.
