Our house big, but the kitchen is pretty small. It gets really crowded if there is more than 1 adult in it. We can't knock down existing walls because the adjoining rooms are too tough to move around (1 is a bathroom where we'd have to re-route all the pipes, the other is the garage). We might be able to expand onto the patio, but would leave us with an L-shaped kitchen (and having to extend our dryer exhaust pipe and outdoor hose faucet.
