our remodel; one year after asking advice here

We are about ¾'s of the way through our remodel and I realized it was a year ago that I asked for help on kitchen cabinets that would work with our ceiling. Floors installed yesterday, and counters today. Faucet and appliances get re-installed in two days.
I'll send more as we finish up.

You're almost there! Congratulations. Are you thinking of accenting the beams? Nice room to work with, it'll be great.

final challenge will be choosing backsplash tile. I originally thought I would have a soft green tile to balance the soft yellow walls and cherry cabinets, but now that I see the counter, I'm not so sure... I was thinking subway tiles. I was going to go with Heath Ceramics but our budget is probably not going to allow that at this point... probably Daltile now...

Love to hear any ideas....on color, material...

Thanks, all! We hated to give up the charm of our 1948 kitchen; so homey.... but having the space and horizontal surfaces...heaven! And hopefully the warm colors of the walls and wood will still feel timeless....and the LED monorail and under counter lighting has made it a delight to work in at night.

The contractor did his part in only 15 working days back in May (about 90% of the total job; but we wanted to try to do the rest ourselves; hence Oct........
