shower bench

does anyone know where that shower ebnch or something similar can be purchased? It looks like it is on a hinge and folds, similar to a chair you would sit in in a movie theatre or hockey arena.

Ah, but the two benches are the same. The Invisia stock photo is the 18"W model and the installed Invisia bench is the 26"W model.
We did, however, make a slight modification to the one installed. The desired body spray location is very close to the top slat. In order to allow the back slats to be slid up and out for cleaning, we had them professionally cut and oiled. We also used a stainless steel spacer to create the evenly spaced four slats.
Was this the detail you noticed that was different? If so, kudos to your excellent eye!

This beautiful and sturdy spa seat is by Invisia and it is called the "Serena Seat."

It is mounted to the wall (into studs) and folds down for use. The back slats may be lifted up out of the track for ease of cleaning. The wood is a Brazilian tropical hardwood called Ipe. It is a dense wood, hard to cut actually, and is perfect for spa environments.
When folded up it only protrudes from the wall 3".

Super! Thank you. Question: Does it lighten because of the water? Is that part of the aging process like some other materials (copper, cedar, etc.)?

Sorry for the delay in replying. The wood will lighten if not kept oiled but what we have found when working with these hardwoods is that if they are allowed to naturally lighten, they can be sanded and re-oiled and look just like the original installation. Tropical hardwoods are truly amazing.
