Half the wall is brick. I was thinking of painting the brick one colour and the remaining wall (which has very high ceilings) another - but I'm stuck with what to do and how to tie it into the colours downstairs, or if I should just paint it all one colour.

The basement is currently painted universal grey with one accent wall an eggplant colour. I figured more grey might be overkill.

Any suggestions? As you can see - it's pretty gloomy down those stairs and I'm hoping some colour might brighten it up.
