I love these. Are they textured to be slip-resistant or smooth/polished like marble? I want to use something similar on a bathroom floor, but without the danger.

I am not sure about the tiles in the photo , The Re-Use Marble and Marmo D (floor) series are not polished and have a matte finish. Both series comply with ASTM C1028 co-efficient of friction standards. However it is a general guide only and you have to consider your individual installation area. It is always best to see actual samples to make a determination for you personal situation. Hope this answers your question.

steph2020: Marazzi and Mohawk both have a white marble tile (porcelin and ceramic). Check with your flooring distributors.

I used a porcelain tile called Nucomo Snow for my floors and shower wall. It has the same coloration as the 1" Carrara hex I used on my accent wall and insert. However, it is not polished - so the floor is not slippery.

How long ago did you do this? Have you been happy? Any "tips" to pass along?

I'm leaning toward the Marazzi's "Calacatta Pearl". The veining is minimal but when laid ..... can be busy. So I know how important it is to determine what level of "activity" is desired for the application. I've been doing my due dillegence and have learned (through houzz discussions, speaking to retailers and manufacturer reps)
a) best to select a tile that is "rectified" (for me) because it minimizes variations in measurement of tile
b) I knew ceramic doesn't have top color all the way through the tile but what blew me away is that some porcelin tile doesn't either! (Again, I don't want a tile on the floor that if I dropped / chipped it - the color is not the same as the surface.....although it's likely that's not going to happen - don't want the risk.
c) Marazzi, has been purchased by Mohawk. (I'm neutral on that - as it may be good! But, I don't know how it benefits my need.
d) Unfortunately, the Mohawk tile in the "Bianco Carrera" (white marble mimic) is NEW. It's not pictured in applied settings on their website and even hard to learn about on the website. I was introduced to it through my retailer. They have samples of the 3 color/finishes on the sample board....but very small tiles in the white/Bianco Carrera.....no way for me to assess to my satisfaction the "flow"/the look of the veining in the larger size so I can picture how it looks in an install. My message to their marketing department.......tsk, tsk not well planned introduction for what coild be a very beautiful option (even if the color doesn't go all the way through, it's not rectified).

About 9 months ago. It seems very durable to date. However, it is not a solid body. When cut, the inside is a light gray. We used chrome Schlueter strips as an edging. You could use Carrara bullnose. I did look at the Calacatta Pearl. It is lovely and reasonably priced. I didn't go with it because the veining has more gold/brown tones and I wanted grey to match the Carrara.

Also, I ordered the Carrara from ORACLE TILE & STONE via Amazon, (sample first) and was very happy with the quality. There we no broken pieces and the polish was lovely.

PS: The tile store wanted $22 sq ft. Through Oracle I paid $10.99 for the 1" hex.

Any updates on the "mohawk bianco carrara"? I want to possibly use it for the first floor of my house but I am having a hard time finding any information/reviews on it, or seeing any full room pictures of it. I like the more subtle linear veining look, not as busy as the "calacutta pearl". And I am also going for the greyish tones not the golds in the "calacutta pearl". I think this is a good option for me, I am just looking for more information on the maintenance and how it would look in a full size room.

The flooring in this room is absolutely gorgeous! The porcelain looks great in the lighting from the open windows. I would love to do my kitchen floor like this.
