Removing the wall between the family room and kitchen would allow for more flexibility for design and layout of the kitchen.

hi, I recently remodeled my kitchen and although I love what it LOOKS like, it hasnt proven to be as functional as I would like. I did use the services of a designer but b/c I love to cook and bake, I now realize how the placing of appliances is key, if not vital, to a highly functional kitchen. Be careful of small things like making sure your dishwasher is near your sink and how your fridge and stove and prep surfaces are arranged in a way that will suit your needs (and not keep you running from place to place). Hope this helps!
