Ideas for Indoor Plants

I recently moved into a new apartment with 11 foot ceilings and three large windows- so there is tons of light. I'm really just starting with taking care of plants- and have a so-so track record with taking care of them. What are some recommendations for trees/large plants that can take up some space and are low maintenance.

Go to your local nursery and talk to them about what will work in your space.

I agree, you need to speak with a professional in your area regarding sun exposure, etc... I recommend looking at photographs and taking a few photos of things that appeal to you to that meeting to see if they will work in your space. One in particular that we like to use is the fiddle fig.

The first important thing is which direction do the large windows face? South facing windows will dictate different plants than north facing windows. So have that information before you go to the nursery and you will be on your way.
