The motor runs dead quiet. So if the fan is installed properly and balanced, the only noise you will hear is the airflow when it is on high speed. I say this because some people do not balance a ceiling fan when they install it, in which case it could make some noise if it wobbles. Fortunately, Casablanca makes their fans with more precision than most other brands, so it is likely you will not need to balance it at all. Overall, it is a great product and I highly recommend it for bedrooms and other sound sensitive areas.
