We built this home in 2007 - we do not have a formula that we can provide but remember that you are looking at a picture, taken by an excellent photographer in the early morning hours - house faces east. Your builder should provide you samples of colors on the material you are using - this was cedar. You need to look at the samples at different times of days and on different sides of the home. From there you can see if it is the right color for your home and in your setting - lightening, darkening, or adding other colors to it. A good builder should be able to help you through this process. Never go by just a picture for your colors online for something as important as the exterior on your home without getting a sample made first. Even a formula can be different depending on who is supplying the material. Good luck with your new home - we know it can be challenging but do take the time to make it right!
