You have such a beautiful inviting home. I agree that the orange is all wrong for your front entry. My suggestion to you is not to try to match the Terra Cotta colour of your brick but rather choose a colour that will add a lot of punch. Now, as it is, it looks cheap and kind of looses itself in the whole scheme. You need a colour that will draw your eye to the door and add a super classy rich look! Benjamin Moore Black Iron is my definite pick... It's a black with an undertone of blue. It will look great with the Terra Cotta and pick up on the dark charcoal bricks already in place here and there. Everyone's eyes will be on the front door! Do not always need flashy to attract. In this case I would go classy and simple.

Thanks for the suggestions. Don't think I want a blue. I also was hoping to just do the front door without having to do the shutters and the garage right now. The black is a good suggestion but I think I'd have to do the shutters too.

I don't think that you would have to paint the shutters to match the door, just make sure that the chosen color 'blends' with the other colors on the house. Would love to see a picture once you've decided!

Jck19 - great suggestions. They are a green but with a chalky grey look.

No need to repaint the shutters or garage doors... They go wonderfully with all the trimmings. The front door is what you want to help stand out. So trying a completely different colour like Black Iron from Benjamin Moore is one way to achieve wowness! Apply a semi gloss paint. Again, it would bring out the brick colours very well. Can't wait to see the end results. So many possibilities... It's really a matter of taste.

CHARCOAL color

Agree with jck910 -- paint the sidelights white. To tell you the truth, I like the current colour of the door.

I like the orange, too. It stands out without clashing with the garage doors and everything else.

I like the orange door ,I think it is shiny co paired to the shutters

You don't have other blue things to match in the front.
Back looks great, I would say go brown or black if you don't like the orange.
