thank you ruth, i love all the combinations!!! especially the rug with the writing. The top of my budget is anywhere between $500.00 to $600.00 for the lamp and rug. i have a picture of the rug in my living room and im trying to find the best blend. Thanks for the help. i've attached a photo of the rug in the living room so you can see what i mean!!!

Hi Ruth, i measured the distance from chair to chair and it is a little under 7 feet. I'm not sure if i should worry about chair to chair or go with the size i had before.
i know i didn't show the opposite wall in the photo but i have a slipper chair on the opposite side, and a good width between the space is about 3 feet. What I had in the space before was a solid red rug measuring 3 x 5. stumped!!!
