We purchased a Hills Hoist Rotary clothesline and are having trouble choosing a functional location in our backyard that also doesn't give us an eyesore view looking out from our windows. Has anyone put this type of permanent clothesline in their yard and if so, did you camouflage the area with trees?

We would also love ideas on what to put on the ground around the clothesline pole base for an attractive and practical surface to stand and work with the laundry - it will probably be set within a decomposed granite dining area.
