I agree with foreverfarm11! It's time designers take an ethical stand and do not purchase items that cause harm to animals!

So do you think it makes more sense to dispose of the skins as rubbish? People eat sheep, the wool should also be used, people eat beef, the leather should be used. I live in a farming community and I think sheep have a good life, in fact better than a lot of people you see on the news. If your view is that animals should not be eaten, then fine, use fully synthetic fabrics or cotton yourself but don't expect that the rest of the world is going to feel the same. I believe that the ethical stand is to respect every part of any natural produce, animal or plant, and reduce senseless waste.

I thought this was a forum in which to share your opinion and expertise not to judge one's ethical beliefs. So do you know for a fact that the sheep was consumed for food and that it was treated humanely? Most animals are not! I have one too, I use it on a leather sofa for sitting. it's so soft and warm during the winter. It's cold here in the snow country, a lot of people wear shearling coats, boots and gloves, hats.....and have shearling steering wheel, seat covers. We also have lamb fur pelts on motorcycle seats.
