Hi i know this is from last year, but I want to do the exact thing with my countertops and sink. Do you have any regrets? I decided to do marble countertops but everyone is advising me not to do the sink the same due to stains, etc,. please help. how is your sink holding up?

I have no regrets but it is not in my house :D...... I haven't seen it since I built the cabinets and had the "stone guy" build the sink. He discussed with my client the pros and cons of a marble counter-top and sink. I remember when he talked about how the marble can get stained, he made the point that it still looked like marble, just nicely stained marble, marble with a real life patina. My client was more than pleased with the marble sink, but I have no idea how she feels about it today or how it looks now.

We ended up doing a Rohl Shaws sink and based upon how our Cararra counters are etching and staining, I'd say we made the right choice. We got a white interior grate for the bottom and it's stained so badly even from pretty careful usage that I would venture we'll be replacing with stainless by next year and we've only been living with it for about 4 months now. Or if you do do it, get dimmable lights!
