Found it at an antique dealer in western Massachusetts. It's actually an old "chow bell" from a lumber camp in Maine. Works great as our doorbell at Zakopane in the Sierras.
The door portal is inspired by the door opening at the old stave church (stavkirke) in Heddal, Norway. The church was built over 800 years ago. Our carvings are replicated in re-purposed teak from old farmhouses and warehouses in Java.
