Dining Room Poll - Need help!!

Furniture, light fix, and paint are done now need to decide on the finishing touches. I was originally going for a clean and casual elegant feel (restoration hardware look but still want it to be warm and inviting not too industrial). The 2nd choice dining room is a new idea and now I'm a bit torn.

Your second idea has more interest, and the carpet should should show less signs of wear. The first choice repeats a variation of the motif in every choice, and will be a bit precious looking.

Thanks Jamie. Yes, that is a mirror = ) It's called Black Clover Mirror from Arhaus. Was concerned it may be too much wood but the clover made it a bit personal. It's also in a different finish for a little contrast but thought they complemented each other as well.

Studio - Thanks great point, something to really think about. I guess I'm just a bit nervous of switching things up at the last minute. I've haven't done anything to the room for 6 months and have had a vision of something similar to room #1 but room #2 is quickly growing on me : )

I'm craving a splash of colour here. Some red or some blue...something that increases the interest visually. I love the clover mirror. I think it mimics the curve of the chairs nicely. I would love to see a painting over the side board. Something that incorporates a splash or two of orange/red/yellow. The main colouring could be black/gray/blue...but a splish of something bright would really help here. I prefer rug in Idea #2 but the drape/material of idea #1.

Hi… Our mirror finally came so I thought I would attach a photo. Please disregard the placement, it's not hung yet… I just set it on the buffet to get an idea of how it was going to look. Any likes/dislikes? I also got my hands on a couple rug samples. 1st photo has the Pottery Barn Fallon Rug. 2nd photo has Pottery Barn Nolan Persian (the small sample to the right). Thought the Fallon was a perfect match but I'm nervous it may be too boring? The Nolan rug brings in some color. However, the online photo shows more navy and other deeper blues along with beige/brown/tan but the actual sample I received has quite a bit of lighter blue in with it. Although I do like the Nolan as well it is a thick / more plush rug and I'm afraid it may be difficult pushing the chairs in and out when entertaining.

I am also considering the Nolan Rug from Pottery Barn that was one of your options. What made you decide not to go with it? Love the dining room table. The room is beautiful.

Room looks awesome! Love the Arhaus light! Mirror is awesome too - where did you purchase it?

Thanks for the comments! It was a long dragged out project and will be so happy when it's all done. Still need some stuff on the wall opposite the mirror. The mirror and light were both from Arhaus. I believe the mirror was called the black clover mirror and being almost 100% Irish I thought it was a perfect fit
