Two issues regarding the walls. Your mirror is reflecting the kitchen - not something you want to see twice. Generally, use them to reflect something beautiful or interesting you want to see doubled. The TV is higher than the door frame - lower it and put a credenza below it that is 25% wider than the TV. If you hang drapery panels, go floor to ceiling. When budget allows I'd replace the builder's special light in the hallway, and others throughout the home, with something more stylish. Down the road, you might want to install crown molding.

I agree with deco to relocate the mirror with some art. For your window treatments, I'd suggest simple roman shades to keep the windows clean and "unfussy". The floor lamp seems a bit squished there by the door. Try moving it in the corner behind the sofa. Cute place you have there!
