    They are vented and drained through the wall behind the units.

    is this a combo unit washer and dryer or are they just stacked...if stacked how?

    These are two separate washer and dryer units that are stackable. Many front loading washers and dryers are designated as stackable and some require a "stacking kit" in order to do so. The stacking requirements will depend on the specific unit. Hope that helps... Emily

    Thank you! I usually refer to the manufacturer's spec sheet on the appliances for minimum clearances required.
