bathroom /bedroom dilemma

I have polished brass/polished chrome bathroom fixtures and lights. can I mix polished chrome/ brushed nickel ? I want to get rid of the brass but have polished chrome on shower trim. also, have polished brass handles on cherry dresser/ drawers. any suggestions to get rid of all the bright brass!!!
