Recommendations: A slate or exterior tile (with a slate look) terrace in front with a solid stone (dry stack) wall that is about 3 feet higher than the terrace itself (for privacy so that no railing is needed) extending from front door all the way to the left end of house. Wider steps to sidewalk/drivewaycould be on angle or curve to be more inviting. Eliminate shutters ... they do nothing for the bay window or the house. Remove the front storm door. Maybe new 4 or 6 lite vintage looking wood front door with dark walnut stain. If you are replacing the siding, I would consider wide Hardi-plank (Vertical) with batten strips. New paint could be a natural neutral (putty/grey) that works with the stone. Don't contrast the fascia, soffit, trim, or the triangular gable ... try to play all that down by low contrast with roof. Feature the front door, urns, new column(s), possibly the garage door with black, dark chocolate, or accent color. There doesn't have to be any white on the house. If the column(s) are necessary, beef them up to about 8"-10" square with framing and Hardi-plank or purchase more substantial columns. Spray paint (flat finish) the vent stack to blend with the roof. I don't normally like to high contrast the garage, but in this case, I might consider a vintage look and/or paint/stain the garage door dark to match the front door. If possible, I would like to see those little windows become french doors (wood with dark stain) to the new terrace. The plants near the house and flanking the garage need to come out. I would do large Urns with flowering plants and new evergreens anchoring the new stone wall. Perhaps a very low profile square stone bordered planter near the street and adjacent to the sidewalk to tie in with the new stone wall, steps, and terrace. New house numbers in a better position.

You would totally transform this house for the better by following Thoth's suggestions.

I would leave the shutters on the small windows. Then I would add stone to the bottom half of that section. Add a stone column on the landing, then stone the whole section around the bay. Re landscape. I would look at some pics of arts and crafts. I've seen some before and after arts and crafts homes on here that were amazing transformations.
