Dry wall return windows -- trim at window and drywall meeting?

Contractor wants to put a small trim where window vinyl and drywall meet -- says with house movement, there will be cracking over time and the dry wall return will not look good. ?? Your thoughts? I think it takes away from the neat look.

Great discussion topic! I guess it depends on the age and location of the home. It also depends on how much your home sifts. It may not be the look but might be more practical.

This is on a new build -- I live my life too practical!! -- was hoping to NOT put the trim at that edge. It is finer detail work for the painter -- it will take more time with painting tape and caulking, but I love the drywall return look you have in the photo. Thanks so much for your opinion.
