Thanks for the question. That's an easy answer too! This is simply an older chair with a custom slip cover. As you can tell from the 300 year old shutters, we're not afraid to make old things new. Head to your local resale shop and look for a chair with good lines and good construction. After that, send it over to an upholstery shop with a few yards of cotton-twill fabric and you'll have a machine washable chair in no time.
