How much room is needed for a 60" round table with 6 dining chairs?

I need to know how much more room I would need for chairs to be pulled out. Also, what size rug would I need? Thanks!

    If you use a 60" round dining table you need a room of at least 100" diameter and you would need an 8 feet (or bigger) round rug or 8' x 10' rectangular rug. On the attached image I have an 54" round table with 8 feet round rug.

      I hadn't chosen a shape because I wanted to first find out how much space I needed... However, if round, then what size rug and if rectangular/square, what size rug would you recommend? Thanks!
