I agree with the placement of the tall chest. See if there is a better location for it. I would change the wall color to a softer neutral cream, go for the color on the sofa like the yellow, bring in the blue of the painting with some pottery and or pillows and go with a larger scale patterned carpet. Too many patterns in the same scale. Have fun!

I would call a designer in your area, there are lots on this site and pay $500 for a 1hour consultation. You are spending a lot of money on mistakes. Can you afford to do that vs. the price of an expert?
