height of art

Is there a standard height to hang a piece of art above a toilet? I say it should go on the lower side but my husband says higher. This looks great by the way!

    The standard height for hanging artwork is 60" from the floor to the center of the piece. But I tend to hang works lower than that. I feel that when you hang art a bit lower, it feels more a part of the space and brings people in. For this installation, we simply eyeballed it and tried to balance everything. We took into account the counter, toilet and high ceilings and went from there. Good luck!
