I saw a decorative towel holder that had been reconfigured to hold a roll of paper towels and loved the idea, but can't seem to find one. Thanks for your suggestion, I just think paper is more hygienic than everyone using the same hand towel.

The one thing about paper towels in bathroom is is this. The city septic system loves toilet paper bc it's design to be easily break down (it's not water soluble, but comes close to it anyway). Paper towels in bathroom means that people will likely try to flush those...being more robust than toilet paper means more likely to clog toilet and to create a headache for the city sewer system. In a nut shell : No paper towels in bathroom. Instead use Wash cloths/towel

Yes, a roll of paper towels is tacky. Uness you want to go for the industrial design look and get a commercial towel roll dispenser. Then you'd best have the commercial water pressure assist toilets with the larger drain line as well ecause Curt is right about people trying to flush things that shouldn't be flushed.

I think it is tacky if out all the time. If you are having guests over and there are a lot of people then I think those ones designed to fit on the actual towel rack is a super idea. Nothing worse than trying to dry your hands on a towel a half dozen people have used. There are also pretty paper ones that you can put out as well.

Many of our customers have purchased our paper towel holder, that was originally designed with the kitchen in mind, for their bathrooms. You may wish to view our product here on Houzz or at www.papertowel-holder.com.
