Here is the color of the cabinets. Our floors would be darker so I'm not sure if a light granite would go

Fantasy brown quartzite would be beautiful. You definitely need a light color countertop. Good luck to you!

Definitely a lighter granite, I do like the one you had in the picture. It looks like Crema Delicatus, it has enough light to brighten the room, but a little dark to blend the cabinets and floor.
I love the cabinets! What stain is that?!
What state do you live in? I may be able to recommend where you can find the perfect stone. :)

If kitchen is large, you could go with dark (simple) granite or quartz on counters and if you have an island, use white marble to lighten kitchen and add interest and use carerra subway tiles. If a smaller kitchen, I would go with a herringbone pattern carerra backsplash and simple white granite or quartz. Or you could look at granite that has brown and grey to tie in with the floor and then use a very light grey subway tile. For added interest use herringbone or diagonal pattern over stove. I would look at lots of pictures and perahps go to showrooms to get a feel of the look you want before you go shopping. Good luck.[houzz=]; [houzz=]; [houzz=]; [houzz=];

Just curious why the granite you show in the picture wouldn't be an option? Check out Cambria Quartz.

Thank you for your comments and suggestions. We are in New Jersey. The pictures provided are samples of the cabinets we will be installing, they are called weathered slate brown.

Cambria is nice but I prefer granite for our counters

Please use something white/light. This is quite a dark space, Think about your lighting too.
Might want to add extra here and there.

i would go with a really really light granite or maybe quartz -- your space from what you have said I feel would be too dark.

Ok, I agree the lighter granite would be a better choice. Even though there is something about Antique Brown Granite and these color cabinets. Any suggestions on Granite and backsplash options? I thought this would be easy lol

I really like this counter and backsplash. Does anyone know what it is or something similar?
