Any ideas for simple modern backsplash ?? Affordable is nice. Back painted glass? Tile? Colors ? Leave it alone??

We finished building modern on a budget and held off on a backsplash for the kitchen. Currently we have a glossy paint but think we will want something eventually . We have tried very hard to keep lines clean and simple a small color palate. Will have accents of color created by windows and a few plants etc... Nothing ornate. Want the house to be the canvas.
